The 2005 Honda Civic is offered in an array of models. There are coupes and sedans in DX, VP, LX, HX, EX and Special Edition models, plus an Si hatchback and a Hybrid model (HX, Si and Hybrid models covered separately). The 2005 Honda Civic is a compact car, but it call still squeeze in five when necessary. Four will fit quite comfortably inside. DX models are equipped with only the basics. Honda Civic 2005.
Moving up the line to, say, the LX gets you a nice set of standard features, but if you want a true heaping, the new EX is for you. The new 2005 Honda Civic EX Special Edition trim has an exclusive leather-wrapped steering wheel and an upgraded audio head unit that not only adds in-dash 6-disc changer capability, but will also play MP3's and includes an auxiliary input jack for convenient plug-in of portable music devices and satellite radio receivers.
The new top-line EX Special Edition models are also distinguished by their exterior appearance. They have 15-inch alloy wheels, a body-colored wing spoiler and special badging. DX, VP and LX models use a standard 1.7-liter inline 4-cylinder engine capable of 115 horsepower at 6100 rpm and 110 lb-ft of torque at 4500 rpm. It is teamed to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic setup. Honda Civic 2005 Engine.
All models under the EX name use a similar 1.7-liter inline 4-cylinder engine. However, it pumps out 127 horsepower at 6300 rpm and 114 lb-ft of torque at 4800 rpm. Great gas mileage has always been standard with the Civic, and 2005 is no exception to the rule. Even with all the configuration possibilities, the worst rating you can get is 29/38 mpg (city/highway). Dual front airbags and an emergency inside trunk release are standard on all 2005 Honda Civics.
Antilock brakes become standard at the EX level. Honda Civic is one of the most long-lasting vehicles out there. They are comfortable, safe and they have great re-sale value. They are the coupes and sedans of the Civic family. Coming off a series of upgrades last year, Honda gives the Civic a brand-new top-line EX Special Edition trim in 2005. It ups the comfort level considerably, adding a bit more class in the process.

Honda Accord 2013

♠ Posted by Admin in ,
The Accord lineup again comprises sedan and coupe models. Significant highlights are a fresh powertrain lineup developed under the company's Earth Dreams banner that includes a new direct-injection four-cylinder, updated V6; revised transmission portfolio, including a continuously variable transmission; and a couple of hybrid offerings.
The 2.4-liter engine is based on a new lightweight architecture. It gains direct injection to produce 185 hp and 189 lb-ft of torque, improvements of 8 hp and 28 lb-ft over the outgoing car's base 2.4-liter engine. Connected to the four-cylinder is a standard six-speed manual (compared with a five-speed in the 2012 model) or a CVT that replaces the five-speed automatic.
Fuel economy ratings for the Accord sedan with the manual come in at 24 mpg city and 34 mpg highway, while the CVT helps return a 27-mpg city rating and 36 mpg on the highway. It's worth noting that the four-cylinder and CVT combo, which will be the volume drivetrain, falls short of the non-hybrid fuel-economy title in the midsize sedan category. With the city fuel economy rating of 27 mpg and highway rating of 38 mpg for its 2.5-liter four-cylinder and CVT, the new Altima has bragging rights.
Unlike competitors such as the Sonata, Optima and the upcoming Malibu and Fusion, Honda sticks with a V6 as the upgrade engine option instead of moving to a force-induced four-cylinder. The revised 3.5-liter V6 gains an expanded variable cylinder management range for improved fuel economy and sees a small horsepower bump from 271 to 278 hp. Together with a new six-speed automatic gearbox, the sedan receives a 21-mpg city rating and 34-mpg highway rating.
For hybrid fans, Honda is working on two hybrid Accords -- a plug-in and a regular hybrid. Both are developed around a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle four-cylinder with a 13:1 compression ratio, a two-motor hybrid system and lithium-ion battery pack. In the plug-in, the engine and electric motors are good for a combined 198 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque.

Honda CR-V 2013

♠ Posted by Admin in ,
Honda says the length (4,570mm) and height (1,650mm) of the car have been reduced by 5mm and 30mm respectively compared with the current model, without reducing the interior space. The vehicle's width remains the same.  The CR-V has a boot capacity of 589 liters or 1,648 liters with the rear seats folded down, an increase of 148 liters over the previous model.
The boot's load length has been increased by 140mm to 1,570mm, while the height of the load lip has been reduced by 25mm. In addition, there's a power tailgate, which Honda says is unique to the European market model. The fourth generation of Honda's compact crossover will be offered with three powerplants, including a 2.0-liter i-VTEC petrol and a 2.2-liter i-DTEC diesel that are carried over from the previous model, plus a brand-new 1.6-liter turbo diesel.
For the first time in Europe, the CR-V will be available with front-wheel drive only versions in conjunction with the 2.0-liter petrol and 1.6-liter turbo diesel engines. The power output of the updated 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline unit has grown from 148hp (150PS) to 153hp (155PS) while peak torque is up by 2Nm to 192Nm (142 lb-ft).
Honda says that despite the increased performance, CO2 emissions have fallen from 192g/km to 174g/km for the 4x4 manual version, and from 195g/km to 176g/km for the 4x4 automatic, while the new two-wheel drive model drops to 170g/km. The 2.2-liter i-DTEC diesel engine continues to produce 148hp (150PS) and 350Nm (258 lb-ft), but the CO2 emissions fall from 171g/km to 153g/km (10%) for the manual gearbox model
And from 195g/km to 175g/km for models fitted with the five-speed automatic transmission. Honda's new 1.6-liter turbo diesel that is rated at 118HP (120PS) at 4,000 rpm and 300Nm (221.3 lb-ft) at 2,000 rpm, will become available next year. The crossover model will be available with a raft of electronic systems such as Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Hill Descent Control (HDC).

Honda CR-Z 2013

The 2013 CR-Z can be identified by a range of styling upgrades that emphasise the coupe's sporty appeal. Style conscious motorists will appreciate the Honda CR-Z's new front bumper design, which frames a revised grille. This is complemented at the rear by a new aerodynamic diffuser design, while striking 17inch alloy wheels fill the wheel arches of the GT model.
Two bold new colours, Energetic Yellow and Aurora Violet, further enhance the CR-Z's stylish looks. Honda has updated the hybrid's interior with a new colour scheme, while revisions to the door casings improve cabin storage. The Honda CR-Z's 1.5-litre petrol engine has been updated with changes to the variable valve timing system and Engine Control Unit (ECU).
An anti-vibration knock sensor has been introduced and the material of the crankshaft has been upgraded. The peak power output has been increased from 114 PS to 121 PS. The electric motor system has also been improved. The change from a Nickel-metal hybrid (Ni-MH) to a Lithium Ion battery has been accompanied by an increase in power from 14 PS (10 kW) to 20 PS (15 kW).
Working in unison, the Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) hybrid system now delivers a combined output of 137 PS at 6600 rpm (+13 PS) and 190 Nm of torque (+16 Nm). The 0-62 mph sprint time falls from 9.7 sec to 9.0 sec and top speed is 124 mph. The combined consumption is 56.5 mpg and 116 g/km of CO2.To help the driver make the best use of this sporty performance, Honda has introduced a Plus Sport (S+) boost system.
If the battery is more than 50 per cent charged, the driver can activate this system using the S+ button on the steering wheel. When the accelerator is pressed the electric boost begins, delivering increased acceleration for up to ten seconds. A flashing gauge on the dashboard indicates when the system is active. S+ can be used in ECON, Normal or Sport modes.
